Different approaches to Kowalevski top

In this paper we study the equations of motion of a rigid body around a fixed point in the case of Kowalevski. We give interpretation of the "mysterious substitution of variables" in Sophya Kowalevski's paper. The present paper also connects integration procedure proposed by Golubov with the original equations obtained by S.Kowalevski.
